Aloha.  We are overjoyed to be bringing world-class small-group continuing education across the Pacific to Hawaii.  I have yet to meet anyone who couldn't benefit from a Hawaiian vacation.  Whether your idea of a good time is hiking to a waterfall, swimming off of a magical coastline, learning to surf, snorkeling pristine reefs full of sea turtles, boogie boarding with your kids, kayaking at sunset or simply sitting on the beach with a Mai Tai - Hawaii has a way of re-shuffling your priorities and indelibly impacting your life.

As if this were not enough 12 hours of world-class approved CE will be available in Small Animal Ophthalmology and Cardiology from our amiable and expert speakers Dr. Gia Klauss DVM, DACVO and Dr. William Rausch DVM, DACVIM-Cardiology.   Both are not only outstanding speakers, they are each full-time clinicians and offer expert and practical tips that you can put into place in your practice.  The lectures will take place in a conference room at the Hawaiian Humane Society which is just 1 mile inland from Waikiki Beach.  Lectures will be 8:15-11:45am Thu/Fri/Sat so that you can have the rest of the day to enjoy and unwind.  We believe that the relaxed mind is a more focused mind, and that the more focused mind is more apt to learn and retain.

Early on-line registration is open.  This is a very small group event and we expect it will fill up early.  Registration includes 12 hours of approved continuing education and materials and the best time you will ever have at work.  5% of all proceeds will go to support the good work of the people at The Hawaiian Humane Society.

Accommodations: There are a thousand options for accommodations near Honolulu - from swanky oceanside hotels to Airbnb condos and guesthouses.  Please stay wherever may suit you best.  We have secured a limited number of rooms for conference attendees at two modestly priced hotels that are within walking distance to Waikiki Beach should that prove helpful to you.  Each is about a 10 minute drive to the Hawaiian Humane Society where our lectures will be held.

The Aqua Ohia Waikiki  Reservations can be made on their website at www.ohiahotel.com and entering VETLECTURE in the GROUP box on the website or by calling the central reservations department at:  1/855/747-0760 and mentioning group code VETLECTURE to the agent.   The rate is $115/ night (excluding taxes and fees) for 1 King or 2 double bed with Kitchen, Lanai, and Wifi.  This property is about 0.5 miles from Waikiki Beach.

The Ambassador Hotel Waikiki  is also about a 0.5 mile walk to the beach and is holding rooms for our attendees at $108/night plus taxes and fees.  This rate can be booked through their site here.  No code is needed at this link.

Transportation:  The only ways to get to Hawaii are 1) to be born there, 2) take a very long boat trip or 3) fly in from the mainland.  Almost all airlines fly to Honolulu (HNL) and rental cars are plentiful and usually relatively inexpensive.  One could spend an entire vacation exploring Oahu, but if you would like to visit some of the other Hawaiian Islands also (we encourage that behavior) there are frequent inter-island flights to Maui, Kauai and the Big Island from HNL.  You can also fly from these other islands to/from the mainland U.S.  This opens up many creative travel options if, for example, you wanted to fly to Honolulu for the conference and then take an inter-island flight to Maui for a few days before returning home from Maui.

You will receive an email confirmation and receipt upon registration.  We respect your privacy and will never share your information.

You deserve this.  Make the most of your CE experience.
