September 14-17, 2017 | Antler Inn in Downtown Jackson Hole

Yellowstone and Grand Teton.  One can barely speak these names without imagining the rugged beauty, abundant wildlife and grand scale of these majestic Parks.  These are two of our most important national treasures and simply must be experienced.  We are absolutely delighted to finally be bringing our Continuing Education conference to Jackson Hole September 14-17, 2017.  Our outstanding speakers will leave you smarter than they found you.  It is no hyperbole to say that a vacation amongst Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks may change your life.

THIS CONFERENCE IS NOW FULL.  REGISTRATION IS NOW AVAILABLE FOR OUR HONOLULU CONFERENCE MARCH 22-24, 2018.

Join us for 14 hours of world-class Continuing Education and some much-needed vacation on the doorstep of two of America's national treasures - Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks.  All CE will be offered first thing in the morning or the evening to allow for your maximal enjoyment of the area.  With all of the beauty and varied landscapes in this area, we encourage you to arrive a few days early and stay a few days later if you can.  Jackson Hole sits right on the edge of Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone is within reach for a day trip or longer.

14 hours of world-class approved CE will be available in Small Animal Cardiology and Emergency Medicine/Critical Care from our amiable and expert speakers Dr. Bruce Keene DVM, DACVIM-Cardiology and Dr. Megan Seekins DVM, DACVECC.   Both are not only outstanding teachers, they are each full-time clinicians and offer expert and practical tips that you can put into place in your practice.  All talks will be first thing in the morning or in the evening to allow you to get out in the primetime of the day to hike, bike, photograph, sightsee, ride horseback or simply gaze at the elk and bison.  Sign-in and note-packet pick-up will take place Thursday September 14 from 4:30-5:30 PM. Lectures will then begin Thursday at 530pm for 2 hours of CE.  Following the evening's talks we will have an optional social hour at a local pub/restaurant.  There will also be 3 hrs of lecture on Friday 8-11am, Saturday 5:15-9pm (with dinner provided) and Sunday 8-11am.  This leaves the vast majority of each day open to you - with nothing on your to-do list except to get out and recharge amidst the adventurous beauty of Jackson Hole.

The location for our lectures is the conference room of the iconic Antler Inn in Historic Downtown Jackson Hole.  A limited number of rooms are being held at 10% below their normal September rate for attendees.  If you would like to make a reservation at the discounted rate call 307-733-2535 and let them know you are coming for the VetLectures conference.  There are a wide range of other hotels in the area to choose from too.

Early registration is still available, but this is a small group event and our conferences tend to sell out in advance.  Registration includes 14 hours of approved continuing education with a notes packet and the best time you will ever have at work.

Jackson, WY is served by an airport (JAC) with flights from many major airlines and this is the easiest way to arrive.

Many of you come to our meetings with colleagues or your families, but many of you also come on your own.  We have had requests for a way for those traveling on their own to meet others to go hiking with and we think that is a great idea.  I will be setting up a private Facebook group that you can join (only if you like) after registration to meet other attendees with similar recreation interest.

Lecture Topics Include:

Current Diagnosis and Treatment of DCM and MVD in Dogs Prior to the Onset of Clinical Signs

Current Treatment of Acute Treatment of Heart Failure in Dogs

Thoracic radiography by and for non radiologists

The Art of History Taking for Dogs / Cats who May Have Heart Disease

How to Talk with Clients about Heart Disease

To Steroid or Not to Steroid: Uses and Mis-Uses in the Emergency Setting

Your Dog Ate What?! How to Recognize and Manage Common Toxicities

Gasping, Coughing, and Difficulty Breathing… Approach to the Patient in Respiratory Distress

How to Recognize and Manage Common Coagulopathies

You will receive an email confirmation and receipt upon registration.  We respect your privacy and will never share your information.

Life is short.  Make the most of your CE experience.
