CE amidst the Great Outdoors and Microbrews of Bend, Oregon: Sep 29-Oct 1,2023

from $350.00

Bend Doubletree by Hilton Conference Center

We are so excited to be returning to one of our favorite spots for Continuing Education.

Bend, Oregon is a lovely mountain town nestled on the sunny side of the Cascade mountain range. Late September days at this latitude are wonderful with unlimited opportunities to get out and hike, bike, kayak, fish, swim, paddle board or merely relax. Bend is also the craft brewing capital of Oregon with more small breweries per capita than anywhere else in the Pacific NW. The forecast calls for outstanding CE with plenty of time to unwind.

The Education

12 hours of world-class approved CE will be available. Drs. Kevin Stepaniuk DVM, DAVDC, FAVD and Andrew Gendler DVM, DACVR will provide 10 hours of outstanding CE in small animal dentistry and radiology. Both are full-time clinicians in private specialty practice and this gives their talks a practical focus - allowing you to put what you learn into practice right away, Talks will be in the late afternoon on Friday, and then first thing in the morning on Saturday and Sunday - to allow you to get out in the primetime of the day to hike, bike, fish, photograph, kayak, go craft-beer tasting, trail funning, sightsee, ride horseback or simply relax and gaze at the mountain peaks. in order to maximize your vacation time outside of lecture,Dr. William Rausch DVM, DACVIM-Cardiology  will give an additional 2h of live approved cardiology CE in a live, interactive online format in the week before and after the meeting.

Our talks will begin Friday September 29th at 4pm and be followed by an optional welcome reception with beverages and hors d’oeuvres. The remainder of the talks will be on Saturday and Sunday mornings - leaving the vast majority of each day open - with nothing on your to-do list except to get out and recharge amidst the adventurous beauty of Bend, Oregon. We will also have an optional social event Saturday evening at a fine local brewery. Your guests are welcome at all social events.

The Location

The location for our lectures is the Doubletree by Hilton Conference Center located in the walkable heart of Bend.  A limited number of rooms are being held at a discounted rate of $209 for attendees. The rooms are all suites and are available to our group for $209/night including a hot breakfast buffet, wifi and free parking. We will share a link with you to get this discounted rate following registration. There are a wide range of other hotels in the area (or beautiful camping!) to choose from too. We do find that there is something super-relaxed about rolling out of bed and walking down the hall to breakfast and your CE.

If you have been to Bend, you know well it’s mountain-town beauty and charms. If not, this link, and this one and this one might help you get an idea. A little further afield, Crater Lake National Park is within reach and worth adding a day to your trip to visit.

Early registration is available, but this is a small group event and our conferences tend to sell out in advance.  Registration includes 12 hours of approved continuing education and the best time you will ever have at work.

Bend is served by a local airport with frequent flights in Redmond (RDM), and the Portland airport (PDX) is a lovely 3 hour drive away. Choose your own adventure and make it a larger Pacific Northwest vacation if you like.

Life is short.  Make the most of your CE experience.
